Yield, Toner Savings and Toner Darkness

Lexmark T630, T632, and T634 yield claims are based on approximately 5% coverage with all printer settings in the default mode. The Toner Darkness setting is one of several factors with a direct impact on cartridge yield. Toner Darkness is designed to offer customers a means to balance desired print darkness with toner savings. The darker settings deposit more toner on the page for bolder text and darker graphics. Because more toner is used on each page, fewer pages can be printed with each cartridge. Conversely, the lighter settings conserve toner by depositing less toner on the page. Because less toner is used on each respective page, more pages can be printed with each cartridge. Selecting the lightest setting produces up to 50% toner savings on this product family. However, lighter settings are typically reserved for draft applications. The default setting for this product family is Toner Darkness =8 (of 10).

Lexmark Return Program Cartridges

Prebate supplies are now called Lexmark Return Program cartridges. Details of the license program remain the same. Only the name has changed. For a period of time, when you order a Return Program cartridge, you may receive a Prebate cartridge. We appreciate your patience during this transition. Lexmark Return Program Cartridges are sold at a discount versus the prices of regular cartridges in exchange for the customer’s agreement to use the cartridge only once and return it only to Lexmark for remanufacturing or recycling. Regular cartridges without this license/agreement sold at regular prices are also available. Regular cartridges are also recyclable at no cost through Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program.

Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program

Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program includes various methods of return and sponsors unique collection partnerships around the world. Collection programs are always free to the consumer and are designed to be easy to use. Country-specific instructions and shipping labels are available online. Empty cartridges may also be returned through participating Lexmark authorised supplies resellers. The Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program replaces Operation ReSource(SM) for the collection of spent Lexmark consumables. Over the past twelve years, Lexmark's focus on reducing resource consumption and waste has meant millions of laser cartridges have been recycled or otherwise reused.

Customer Choice

Lexmark offers a wide choice of cartridges, allowing customers to tailor solutions to fit their business needs. Choices include Return Program or regular version cartridges available in multiple yields as well as special cartridges with oiled fuser wipers for customers who do a large amount of label printing

Design

The T630 Series cartridges use a clean-hands single element design to make installation easy for any user. New, longer lasting yields allow customers to spend more time printing impressive documents and less time changing cartridges. Signature Button

The signature button performs several functions. First, the “signature” or identification function identifies the type of cartridge installed in the printer and facilitates communications with the printer. For Return Program cartridges, the signature button also supports the license agreement on Return Program cartridges. Finally, when an empty cartridge is returned to Lexmark, the signature button provides limited information for future product improvements.
