OEM SERVICE PROJECT MANAGER

Business Area: Lead to Contract 

Job Purpose/Mission/Summary:

The key objective of the role is to ensure OEM NPI deliverables are met as well to manage sustaining service activities for a specific OEM customer. This role will have direct, customer-interfacing responsibilities for their assigned OEM customers.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Connects with the service organizations worldwide to lead, give direction and ensure that deliverables to OEM clients are met on: New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, Engineering Changes (EC) notification and implementation, Sustaining OEM activities, End of Production (EOP) activities, End of Service Life (EOSL) activities.
  • Generates timely and detailed report status to clients and appropriate levels of management of the following documents/activities:
    • Service Manual
    • Return Tech Sheet
    • Universal Parts List / FRU List
    • Parts Cost
    • Cross Reference Part Numbers
    • SAP/Siebel/D365 activities
    • Training resources and activities
    • ECN for service parts
  • Drafts formal End of Service Life and Last Time Buy notifications.
  • Participates in regular (weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly) service reviews with key stakeholders to monitor performance of obligations (milestones).
  • Serves as point of contact to the clients of all NPI and sustaining service issues and acts as the internal resource person for different service organizations to other support teams like Serviceability, Information Development (Infodev), OEM Engineering, Service Product Managers, Field Service Engineering, Order Management teams, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with OEM clients and Lexmark internal teams to proactively identify areas of improvement and identify new or innovative ways to improve service delivery.
  • Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback (clearly communicate expectations to all CFT involved).
  • Thoroughly understand and communicate stakeholder requirements to appropriate team members, and manage all requirements accordingly 9. Execute the NPI or EC service plan worldwide.
  • Maintenance of the following activities and documents associated with NPI and sustaining activities:
    • EOSL
    • OEM - LXK Model Bridge
    • OEM Product Roadmap
    • Sharepoint site
  • Document procedures and work instructions and continuously update, as needed
  • Support EHS objectives
  • Support Operational Excellence initiatives such as six sigma, lean, etc.
  • Perform other functions as assigned by manager.

Education, Experience & Certifications Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science preferable.
  • In the absence of above preferred courses, Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferably in Marketing, Finance, Business and Accounting so long as there is 2+ years of experience in business analysis related to reporting
  • Ability to effectively communicate in standard business English
  • Experienced in and highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in project management or product launches.
  • Preferably with knowledge in Advance Quality Planning.
  • Preferably with knowledge in problem solving techniques, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Preferably with knowledge in quality systems such as ISO or TS.
  • Capable of sophisticated web research.
  • Adept at sorting and cataloguing information.
  • Adept at drawing inferences from large amounts of data.
  • Flexible to work shifts.
